Graham graduated with a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering while working at Elstree Film Studios. Industry training included EMI Research Laboratories, Abbey Road Recording Studios and Thames Television. Graham quickly became Chief Sound Maintenance Engineer and Deputy Head of Post Production Facilities for Elstree. In 1994 he became a freelance Re-Recording Mixer and formed a new team with industry veteran Ray Merrin. They mixed projects in England, Germany, France and Greece. In 1995 Ray and Graham joined Shepperton Film Studios at the request of new owner Ridley Scott. It was his wish that they enhance and develop the studios post production facilities.
